Femtech IoT

UX | UI | Branding | Packaging

This project focused on an Internet of Things (IoT) device for measuring fertile cycles that pairs with a mobile app for long-term cycle tracking. This FDA-approved device could help increase the chances of conception. I worked with the company's advisors, founder, and engineering team to curate the mobile app's user experience, physical device haptics, and the brand look and feel, as well as art direction for a photoshoot.

Mobile App & Device Research

This project required extensive user experience research and beta trials to polish the connectivity and haptics of the experience, along with the ease of the mobile app in guiding daily tracking.

Workflows & Timing

Each tracking session required the phone and the device to "listen" to each other and send feedback to the user through vibration and notifications. Communicating with the user when errors occurred and providing troubleshooting information was detailed through workflow mapping to remove friction in the experience.

User Interface

Simplifying the complexity of the user interface was a particularly challenging aspect of this project. The amount of information that users could access needed to be displayed in an organized way, without causing overload.

Branding & Packaging

I designed the packaging and collaborated closely with manufacturers to ensure the file format was optimized for production.
